The Beauty and Wonder of Australia
The country-continent of Australia is among the most beautiful tourist destinations in the world. It is known for the wild ‘outback’ where there are vast desserts, wild animals and indigenous people, but it is also known for its many cities, which are considered among the most advanced in the world. Australia is also known for its many beaches, which are considered to be the best surfing locations in the world.
The cities of Australia are considered to be the world class. Sydney is the largest and oldest city of Australia and it features among the best and most beautiful harbors on the globe. It is also home to the famous Sydney Opera House, which is an iconic symbol that is synonymous with progress and success in Australia. The city of Melbourne is also known around the world. It is the second largest city in Australia and is considered the sports, shopping and artistic capital of Australia.
The wildlife of Australia is also renowned for its uniqueness and beauty. Australia is the only island where you can find the cuddly Koala, the national symbol of the Kangaroo and the Wallaby, and the ever-dangerous Dingo. These animals can only be found in Australia, and they are as part of the Australian culture as the people there.
The coasts of Australia are probably where most tourists prefer to go. Found in these coasts are most of the major cities, most of the tourist attractions, and the beautiful beaches, where surfers from all over the world appear every day. On the opposite sides of Brisbane are the Sunshine coast and the Gold coast, these coasts are actually national park playgrounds and great beachside locations.
One of the most famous locations in Australia is not found in the continent but just off its coast. Just a few miles from Queensland is the Great Barrier Reef, the largest coral formation in the world, where there it is home to millions of sea creatures and other marine life. The reef is considered to be one of the best diving sites in the entire ocean.
Australia is also known for its deserts inland. There are several breathtaking locations in these desserts including several parks and nature reserves that feature the many indigenous animals of Australia. There are also several natural formations such as the great Ayers Rock and the Olgas, which are among the largest rock formations in the world.
